Is this course only for cis-women? Can I attend if I don’t subscribe to a gender conforming identity?
If you self identify as a woman, you are welcome to join our course.
Is this going to be some woo-woo, goddess course where we all sit around and cry?
RWW is about the practical application of movement/martial arts, meditation, writing, plant medicine and community in our everyday lives. They are heavily focused on feminine and intuitive practices that include body/mind/soul integration. This is not about saying affirmations, and hoping that things materialize out of thin air. Our teachings are derived from timeless traditions across cultures, as well as our lived experiences.
What if I’m a beginner and don’t know anything about plant medicine or martial arts? Is this course for me?
This course is for all levels. No prior knowledge is necessary for joining our program. All you need is an open mind.
Will we be indoors the whole time?
No. Much of our work is based on field study. That means we will be going to our natural and built environments to find plant medicines within the local Brooklyn community. Count on a few of our sessions being at Prospect Park.
What if I can’t afford the course? Does RWW offer any scholarships?
Yes, we are happy to not only provide the course at a fair rate (provided the instruction and course materials included), but inside the regular tuition is built in funds that will provide at least one scholarship, per cohort. That additional money is set aside for women that - for whatever circumstance in the moment - are not able to afford the full program cost.
Your tuition is helping another woman's ability to participate in the course. RWW believes in equity and equal access to the healing arts. That is embedded in our mission!
Is this course live, or is there an online option.
For the time being, this course is only being offered live. To experience rewilding, it's important to go through the intentional methodology of the program with guided instruction.
What if I miss a class?
We urge you to plan accordingly and not to miss any of the course. If you have an extenuating circumstance, notes, materials and the week’s practices can be provided for you if properly planned with Vanessa.
